Organic
Culture’s sugar is produced in Santa Maria, Paraguay, South
America, a small city located 150 miles South of Paraguay’s
capital, Asuncion. This area belonged to the Jesuits, who began
evangelization during the 16th century. They built reservations
and missions to educate the natives and taught them how to work
the soil and raise cattle in an efficient and organized way.
Throughout the years, this heritage was passed on from generation
to generation, making the inhabitants of this area very conscious
of the conservation of their natural resources. Also they have become
highly skilled in the traditional art of agriculture. Since 1999,
